As many fans hope that Rihanna and Drake will soon make their speculated relationship public, we now know why it might not be a good idea for Rihanna to let Drake out of the friend zone and vice versa.
One insider told Hollywood Life Wednesday that taking their chemistry beyond a friendship could actually ruin everything; and Drake is very well aware of it.
“Drake is adamant he’s not dating Rihanna,” the source said. But that doesn’t mean that they aren’t getting intimate.
“Drake loves her dearly but they have an understanding that they’re friends with benefits with no strings attached. It works better that way. No expectations. Nobody gets hurt. Everyone’s on the same page. They tried the whole monogamy thing but it didn’t work. This is what it is, for now.”
Still, it has been hard for them to keep their reported physical relationship under wraps.
“Rihanna and Drake are definitely hooking up,” another source told Us Weekly. But the “friends with benefits” statement might be a true one because an insider also said the two are “just friends.”
They were spotted at the after party for Rihanna’s Anti Word Tour in Los Angeles and one witness said, “Drake and Rihanna were together the whole time inside being loving. They were affectionate. They had their arms around each other.”
