The rumor mill still continues to churn over which actor and actress will land the groundbreaking roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in 50 Shades of Grey.
In terms of ideal pairings, Ryan Gosling and Mila Kunis may be one of a kind, as each have both the sex appeal and chops to pull off the roles.
When Kunis, 29, was recently queried by Mario Lopez of Extra on whether she would be interested in appearing in the future flick, she initially told the TV host "no."
However, the actress instantaneously corrected herself by saying, "I'm not disinterested."
The easy on the eyes Ukrainian previously admitted to seeing herself having a "good time" playing the role of the college alumni turned Red Room of Pain participant.
Interesting enough, Kunis had spoken about the anticipation and excitement she'd feel if the opportunity was right for her to play such a character, according a Jan. 4 article in The Sun.
"There are times when you just want to do something fun and different, because you're going to have a good time doing it."
Increasingly popular with the mainstream female audience, Gosling, 32, has been considered one of the frontrunners for the role of Grey since Fifty Shades movie started to circulate in 2012.
In a Sept. 3 interview, Fifty Shades author E.L. James' husband Neil Leonard accidentally revealed a potential Gosling casting to Now Magazine, saying that the "last he heard" the Beyond The Pines star was a favorite for Grey.
However, while on the air with L.A. radio station KI-IS FM, James had denied her husband's loose-lipped comment.
"No, that's completely misreported. What happened is that his local paper... reported on my husband being the inspiration for Christian Grey. Underneath it they put a picture of Ryan Gosling, as well. So that's how it came about," she said.
Although the producers have yet to attach a director to the franchise, Fifty Shades of Grey is slated for its big screen release in the summer of 2014. Only time will tell just how the casting process will unfold, and who will ultimately land the highly popular parts.
