Madonna Slams M.I.A.,Calls Middle Finger Stunt "Irrelevant"
M.I.A.'s middle finger stunt during the Super Bowl half time show las Sunday didn't just anger some viewers, it also bothered Madonna.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the Material Girl revealed she found out about the bird-flipping incident on her way to the airport.
"I was really surprised," she told Seacrest on his morning radio show. "I didn't know anything about it. I wasn't happy about it. I understand it's punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity it seemed negative."
The Queen of Pop added, "It's such a teenager...irrelevant thing to do...there was such a feeling of love and unity there what was the point? It was just out of place." Ouch!
Could Madonna's harsh words bury M.I.A.'s career? After all, Madge was upstaged during the most important and nerve-racking performance of her life.
