Heidi Montag is reflecting on one of the most difficult decisions she's ever dealt with in her life.

On Wednesday, Entertainment Tonight posted an interview with the reality star who made headlines on The Hills when she announced her cosmetic procedures in her nose, breasts, chin, back and more.

Looking back at this time, Montag does not want to see those episodes nor get in touch with those memories again.

"I don't want to watch it," she said. "I think that it was hard enough going through it at that time and I was just in a way over my head. I had no idea what I was getting into."

Montag also admitted that during her time on the show, she and her now-husband, Spencer Pratt, were dealing with more serious issues than some of their co-stars.

"Everyone else in the show is in the clubs and dealing with this and that, and we were dealing with life-threatening, severe things," the reality star revealed. "We were just emotionally empty and spent at that point, and we just really needed support and set up a team, and not to be cut down by everyone."

As for her cosmetic procedures, Montag is not happy about those decisions although there is one positive outcome.

"It was the hardest time of my life and I feel like I've become a lot stronger from it," she said. "And [it] made me look at myself and reflect, 'Why did I do that?' Maybe I needed to have more confidence and be more secure in who I was and not thinking so much about my eyebrows or my this or my that."

Becoming a public figure also made the 29-year-old feel like she lost a part of herself.

"I think that I just became so consumed by this character that I was playing that I became that girl and lost track of this small-town Colorado girl," she said. "I just love the simple life. I like nature, I like different things and I kind of became consumed in a different world."
