Additional details have emerged about what really went down during Chris Brown and Drake's New York City brawl in June of 2012, with legal reports from Brown's bodyguard claiming that Drake started the fight with an explicit note.

Patrick Strickland is suing Drake and the W.i.P nightclub, and relayed details of the almost year-old fight in his lawsuit. He said Brown sent a bottle of champagne to Drake's table as a nice gesture, which prompted the Started From The Bottom singer to return the bottle with a note that read, "I'm f**king the love of your life, deal with it."

Strickland alleged that an employee of the nightclub hand-carried the note to Brown, The Daily News reported. The note led to "verbal altercation" that caused "massive bar brawl that involved bottle throwing, possible gunshots and a general state of riot and disorder," the lawsuit said.

Strickland is suing the nightclub and Drake, and said that the note most certainly started the fight. Strickland also referred to Drake as "a popular and successful, albeit critically derided, entertainer."

Strickland's head was injured and badly cut during the fight. It was reported at the time that he was hit in the head and needed stitches, and the lawsuit indicated that he suffered "severe and disfiguring injuries to his face, head and eyes."

Brown uploaded a photo on his Instagram shortly after the brawl showing off a cut on his chin.

The bodyguard said the club should have known better not to seat the two parties close to each other, as they knew both the entertainers were currently feuding about Rihanna. Both rappers have been romantically linked to the Diamonds singer.

Meanwhile, Brown and Rihanna are reportedly back together. On Wednesday, Rihanna uploaded a picture to her Instagram account of her and Brown.

"This sh** look like a toupee," she wrote, referring to his song Look At Me Now.
