Lil Wayne Trick Daddy Beef After Miami Heat Comments; 'Lollipop' Rapper Escorted Out of Club Following Scuffle
Lil Wayne reportedly engaged in an altercation with fellow rapper Trick Daddy in Miami on Monday, following comments the former made about the NBA team the Miami Heat.
Lil Wayne arrived at Miami's gentlemen's club King of Diamonds only to be escorted out shortly after because of a confrontation he had with Trick Daddy, according to MTV.
Lil Wayne recently went on a "F--- Miami" rant that really upset Trick Daddy. The latter entered the striptease place on Monday with 40-50 of his Miami friends, looking to confront the Lollipop singer. The two rappers went face-to-face and got violent after Trick Daddy allegedly threw a cigarette in Wayne's face, according tothe report.
The rapper, born Dewayne Carter, cursed out specific Heat players - Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade - at the birthday celebration for his friend and Cash Money record label CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams earlier in the year. In his rant he also said "I (expletive) Chris Bosh wife," according to a partygoer.
Carter later called 99 JAMZ radio station in Miami to apologize for his statements about Heat forward James, saying, "That's my homie, and it just slipped out. I ain't mean to say that."
Trick Daddy previously spoke the dislike he had for Lil Wayne and others who he felt disrespected his city.
"I don't care who be offended by what I say. I rep my city and want nobody disrespecting," Trick Daddy told Miami's 99 JAMZ in February 2012. "I can't go nowhere else, this is my home. So from now on, when they get here, they're going to have to start checking in."
Also in February of last year, Lil Wayne took to Twitter to express his frustrations after reportedly being asked to leave a basketball game -all because he was "rooting" for his Laker team.
"So I'm @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow! F#€k da Heat" he wrote.
A spokesman for the Miami Heat told TMZ Lil Wayne was not kicked out of the basketball game, but left on his own will.
