Does Leah Messer have unfair expectations of Miranda Simms?

As fans saw during last week's episode of Teen Mom 2, Simms, the second wife of Messer's ex-husband, Corey Simms, was slammed by Messer and her sister after they learned Simms wasn't carrying Ali's backpack to school for her. However, while Messer claims Simms should be carrying the backpack, she's also allowed Ali to participate in T-ball.

After Messer re-tweeted the photo above, a fan responded to the photo, writing, "she can swing an aluminum bat, but she can't carry her backpack? Ok Leah and Ali."

After last week's episode aired, both Simms and her husband, Corey, defended themselves against the on-screen allegations.

“I always try to carry Ali’s backpack for her,” Simms explained to MTV News. “I would never try to do any harm to the children or create any kind of task that I know Ali cannot do... I’m not saying how she felt was wrong — her feelings are important. I just hope that we can move on, and I hope that the girls feel comfortable no matter where they are at one time.”

“Miranda has been around the girls since they were two years old,” Corey added. “Miranda is aware of what Ali is capable of and what she’s not capable of doing. If Miranda would have felt that the backpack was too heavy, she would not have made her carry the backpack.”

Simms also denied seeing any jealousy out of the twins in regard to her and Corey's new baby, Remington.

“After Remi was born, I’ve never seen any type of jealousy that the girls had toward Remi or any kind of feeling that they felt left out,” Simms insisted. “Yes, it would be a big change for two six-year-olds to have a new baby in their lives when they’re used to just being the kids in the house.”
