Taylor Swift Harry Styles Break Up Leads Her to Admit She Won't Chase Famous Guys
Taylor Swift admitted in a recent interview that most of her recent ex-boyfriends are famous not because she goes chasing after them, but in the fact they pursue her.
The 23-year-old opened up about being romantically linked to actors, singers and even American royalty - the Kennedys. Swift has dated Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Conor Kennedy and most recently, One Direction's Harry Styles. Swift split from Styles in January and told Now magazine she is not out looking for guys to date.
"It's not like I go for people in the entertainment industry," she said. "Those have been the types who have kind of gone for me recently."
Swift has been known to use her heartbreak as inspiration for new music and sometimes reference her ex-boyfriends in her lyrics. Her song Dear John was rumored to be about Mayer and Swift admitted that she wrote I Knew You Were Trouble with Styles in mind.
The songstress told The Time Magazine that she is not worried about her songwriting habits scaring potential suitors from making a move on her.
"You never know who doesn't ask you out," she said. "But I'm not scared of it. Because I know I'm not going to stop writing songs about my life. So if someone's scared of that, then that's not going to work anyway."
Swift also denied that she is "boy-crazy" to Vanity Fair in March. She said her ideal guy is someone who accepts her "like a girl they want to be their girlfriend, with all my accomplishments and my criticisms."
Since breaking up with Styles, Swift has an interest in another United Kingdom native named Harry - Prince Harry, that is. A source told The Sun she is interested in the 27-year-old royal and that Swift "loves everything about him - especially his ginger hair and English accent."
