'Days of Our Lives' (DOOL) Spoilers: Chad Learns Abigail's Fate After Shocking Fire [VIDEO]
Her ability to recover from a mental breakdown due to the stress inflicted upon her because of Ben has been difficult, but Abigail's (Kate Mansi) medical state may be called into question even more after a fire at the facility she has been a patient at on Days of Our Lives.
Chad (Billy Miller) and Marlena (Deirdre Hall) both received alarming phone calls about a fire at Shady Hills, and they both went running. Once arriving, they will learn that Abigail was injured in the fire, and is now wearing a mask on her face to conceal her burns. However, what will potentially shock them more is what they learn as more details about what started the blaze come to light.
Abigail will insist she knows who started the fire, citing Ben escaping from prison, getting into the facility, and trying to kill her once again. However, everyone else knows that ben has not escaped a second time, and is still in custody. Not only will Abigail's claims prove she hasn't made progress with her treatment, but that she's also regressing even further.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the fire could also unveil further revelations which indicate she's getting worse. When Chad asks for information about the fire, it will be confirmed that it was an arson, but more shocking, he could be told that Abigail is the one who is believed to have started it, especially if she still thinks she's seeing Ben around, she could have been trying to finish what she started when he did show up at the DiMera mansion after his escape from the initial psychiatric facility he was being held in.
And though Chad may not want to believe his wife could have potentially done something so horrifying, he may be forced to believe it, because she nearly set their home on fire to get revenge on Ben. And if Abigail continues to insist ben is there, her state could only continue getting worse, and she may even be led to more extreme action than ever before.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
