Rihanna Cancels Show, Tour Stop in Houston; Twitter Apology by Singer [PHOTO]
Rihanna abruptly cancelled her tour stop in Houston, making many fans upset, but she then took to her Twitter account to give her truth on why she decided not to perform.
"I was sick since San Diego! I kept working because I thought two days off after the Vegas show would be enough time to recover and I f****ed up, those were two days off from hell and today is not different!" she tweeted on April 15. "I'm sad and disappointed about it! I had all kinds of plans for Houston!"
The Nobody's Business singer was photographed leaving a medical center in Beverly Hills, Calif., on April 16, the day after announced the cancellation of her show in Houston, Texas.
On April 11, the singer uploaded an image to her Instagram account of her with friends, which she captioned, "Bus Party!!!! Next Stop #San Diego" Her recent Instagram pictures led many fans to believe that she was more concerned with partying than performing.
One fan wrote:
"You not sick you out having fun. How dare you plan a tour then forget your responsibilities!! You need to also be focused on your career. I paid good money for these tickets n they were a surprise for my lil sis 18th bday n now we can't even go!! (sic).' "
Rihanna also cancelled a tour stop in Boston for a laryngitis infection.
"#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down," she tweeted to her nearly 29 million followers on March 3. "I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!#DWT."
"She feels bad, but what can she do?" a source told Hollywood Life. "This cold and laryngitis ... just ain't the business, but she will bounce back. She just laying it down, trying to get better."
