The rumors of a break-up between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth continue to fuel, as Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus admitted that he wasn't sure if they wedding is still on.

In an interview with ABC News, Billy Ray confessed that he's not sure if the couple is still getting married and added that the entertainers are "friends."

"I don't know. I know as I was writing a book, I wanted to keep that particular moment [Miley's wedding] as open-ended as possible. I didn't know the answer," Billy Ray said to ABC which aired on April 15.

He continued to say that the couple is "young, they're kids, the great news is they're great friends, they're really good friends,"

"I play it by ear, I know whatever's meant to be that's the way it's going to happen," Billy Ray said.

Miley, known to be vocal about her relationship on social media, has not addressed her dad's comment, but recently expressed her love for him.

"Dad and I are so in sync sometimes it's crazy. #Thebook @billyraycyrus," she tweeted on April 14.

Break-up rumors for the couple started back in February when Hemsworth was allegedly caught cheating with Mad Men actress January Jones during Oscar weekend.

Hemsworth showed up at the Chateau Marmont on Feb. 23 without his bride-to-be and was seen leaving the hotel and acting like a perfect gentleman to Jones.

"Liam got January's coat and helped her put it on, then they headed outside. They made sure to leave a few seconds apart, so they wouldn't attract too much attention," a source said. "Then they jumped into a waiting car and took off."

Billy Ray is not the only family member who is unsure of Miley's and Hemsworth marraige. The Huffington Post reported that Hemsworth's sister-in-law Elsa Pataky, who is married to his brother Chris Hemsworth, said last week that there is no news about the couple's marriage.

"I don't know," Pataky said, according to The Sun. "If they get married it would be nice to go."
