Hailey Baldwin Hair: Model Debuts Curls & Bangs, Accused Of Copying Selena Gomez [VIDEO]
Hailey Baldwin debuted a new look at a recent event for Coach and right away, fans accused the 19-year-old model of copying the look of Selena Gomez, who dated her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, on and off for a couple of years.
After Baldwin showcased her new curly hair and bangs while walking the red carpet at the Shades of Coach event at High Line in New York City, the model took to Instagram to share her look with fans and what she got were allegations of copying Gomez, which she quickly shot down.
"Stop trying to be Selena," one commented wrote.
"She copied Selena with the bangs," added another.
Following a slew of comments from fans claiming she was a copy cat, Baldwin fired back.
"I had bangs last September. Do ya research and also... It's hair. People cut their hair everyday," Baldwin wrote, according to a report by Celebuzz.
Weeks before Baldwin stepped out at the Coach event, Gomez debuted a lighter look with curls and bangs, which she continues to rock as her Revival World Tour goes on.
As for Baldwin's relationship with Gomez, she recently revealed they aren't feuding, despite ongoing reports of a battle between them.
"I think it sucks that people try to start things like that. There's never any truth to that, first of all," Baldwin explained to Us Weekly months ago. "She's a lovely girl. She's very kind. Her and I have a lot of mutual friends and it's all cool between everybody. We run in the same circles."
Gomez dated Bieber from 2010 to 2012 while Baldwin was linked to the singer for a few months earlier this year before he shot down the idea of a committed relationship during an interview with GQ.
"I know that in the past I’ve hurt people and said things that I didn’t mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I’m just more so looking at the future, making sure I’m not damaging them," he explained to the magazine. "What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged. It’s really hard to fix wounds like that. It’s so hard. … I just don’t want to hurt her."
