The state of Texas is known for loving its Independence, and the state, especially the Houston area, will be celebrating American Independence July 4th with fantastic fireworks displays and shows, as well as other events around the city.

Special events are set to occur on July 4th in honor of the holiday. See the full list below for details:

Freedom Over Texas Featuring Darius Rucker

Where: Eleanor Tinsley Park, Houston

When: 4 p.m.-10 p.m.

Admission: $10 per person

About: Family fun event featuring a concert by Darius Rucker, as well as performances by The Suffers Eli Young Band and Brooke Eden, capped off with a fireworks display at the end of the night. The event will also include an All-American Kids Zone sponsored by Walmart, a Bud Light Bayou Beer Garden, Liberty Park, and a Dr. Pepper One of a Kind Zone.

July 4th Celebration at Bayou Bend

Where: The Museum of Fine Arts, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens in Houston

When: 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Admission: Free

About: Sit for a reading of the Declaration of Independence at 3 p.m. on the Diana Terrace of the Bayou Bend House followed by birthday cake, and sign a giant replica of the Declaration

ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights: Star-Spangled Salute

Where: Miller Outdoor Theatre, Houston

When: 8:30 p.m.

Admission: Free

About: The evening will feature a concert with the Houston Symphony and conductor Steven Reineke, with a fireworks spectacular at the finale of the 1812 Overture

19th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival & Fireworks Extravaganza

Where: Town Green Park and Waterway Square in Woodlands

When: 6-10 p.m.

Admission: Free

About: The event will include hot dog and watermelon eating contests, live music and entertainment, children's games and activities, inflatables, arts and crafts, vendor booths and family fun, with a fireworks show at the end of the night

4th Fest in Pasadena

Where: Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena

When: 4-10 p.m.

Admission: Free

About: Featuring live music by The Slags, a Houston area cover band, a USMC Toys for Tots BBQ cook-off, water balloon fights, a kid-zone, sports, games and a car/truck show, as well as fireworks

The Katy Freedom Celebration

Where: Katy Mills Mall, Katy

When: 9:30 p.m.

Admission: Free

Celebration of Freedom

Where: Pearland High School Football Stadium, Pearland

When: 6-10 p.m.

About: The Slags perform in concert ahead of a 9 p.m. fireworks show

Missouri City's 4th of July Celebration

Where: Buffalo Run Park, Missouri City

When: 6-9 p.m.

Admission: Free

About: Rides, moonwalks, a rock climbing wall, face painting, food trucks and fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Fulshear Freedom Festival

Where: Downtown Fulshear

When: 6-9:30 p.m.
