Kate Middleton Pregnant And Shows Off Baby Bump At Windsor Castle Scouts Ceremony [VIDEO]
This weekend, Kate Middleton looked apparently pregnant when she attended the National Review of the Queen's Scouts at Windsor Castle, an event that celebrates the achievements of young individuals.
The Duchess, who was seen wearing a short pastel Mulberry coat, fawn pill box hat and nude LK Bennett heels, showed off her baby bump as she volunteered at the Scout Association for the first time in place of the Queen, who was celebrating her 87th birthday, the Daily Mail reported.
The event brought together 400 Queen’s Scouts and guests to celebrate those who have achieved the prestigious award. The award is granted to those who participated in community service for a year, learned new skills, completed a four-day expedition in unknown areas, took part in a residential project, and shared what they learned with peers.
Middleton spent time talking with some of the individuals and meeting award holders, who were nominated for their bravery and heroism, according to the report.
The Duchess volunteers occasionally with a Cub Scout group close to her home in North Wales, and the Scout Association hailed Middleton at the event for her work in conducting half a dozen volunteering sessions with her local cubs this year.
"The Duchess is an incredible role model and she helps us show that Scouting’s not just for boys," said Chief Scout Bear Grylls, based on the report. "She’s also such a generous volunteer and everyone is so excited to have her in the Scouting family. Many people have followed her lead and are getting involved and enjoying the adventure."
As one of the U.K.’s most high profile figures, the association hopes the Duchess’ involvement will inspire other adults to get involved in Scouting.
