He's very much in love with his new girlfriend, but a new report indicates that Blake Shelton is also enjoying another perk of a relationship with Gwen Stefani-her ability to lure contestants on The Voice to his team.

According to Us Weekly, Shelton has been trying to lure contestants to his team on the new season of the show with the potential promise of them getting to eventually meet and work with Stefani in a mentoring role.

"To get people on his team, Blake will say, 'I don't want to brag, but my girlfriend is the queen of ska," a source told the magazine.

The tactic is one Shelton has used before on the show, back when he was married to Miranda Lambert, telling contestants the that "His wife, Miranda Lambert, is the best female country star." Lambert served as a Mentor and advisor for Team Blake back in season 2, which saw Shelton score his first victory on the show, with Jermaine Paul crowned as the winner. Stefani assumed that mentoring role in Season 10.

However, despite his dropping Stefani's name as a ploy to win some of the better contestants who could be swayed by learning from her, getting ahead isn't the only thing Shelton reportedly has on his mind when it comes to Stefani and the show, and the source reports that those on his team may get to just hear about Stefani because he can't stop gushing about their romance.

"He talks about Gwen a lot," the source said. "He's always gushing about her and is so happy."

The pair began dating last year after returning for work on the show's 9th season, where they learned about one another's respective divorces from Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, both of which were announced in July.
