Pregnant stars Kate Middleton and Kim Kardashian are both preparing for motherhood and have been choosing vastly different maternity styles during these pre-parenting months.
While the Duchess of Cambridge has been barely showing off her 6-month pregnancy - covering up in demure styles - she was recently photographed flaunting a sizable baby bump under a wool coat. She tried to be subtle about her bump during her Scouts visit on April 21, adding a brown hat and cream-colored shoes and matching clutch to the look.
The royal attended a St. Patrick's Day parade last month at the Aldershot Barracks wearing a green Emilia Wickstead dress, a black hat, the Queen Mother's gold shamrock brooch and Emmy pumps. However, her bump was barely visible.
Kardashian, on the other hand, wore a tight black dress on Tuesday to the E! 2013 Upfront event held in The Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center in New York. The 32-year-old reality star, expecting her first child with rapper Kanye West in July, accentuated her belly with a low cut, tuxedo-style satin coat dress. At the event the star revealed that she has now started to "embrace" her pregnancy - particularly since her baby started kicking.
Kardashian has been experimenting with some maternity fashion and her looks have ranged from skintight leather dresses to loose skirts.
