Beyonce 'Mrs. Carter World Tour' Footage Released [WATCH VIDEO HERE]
Beyoncé has released footage from her Mrs. Carter World Tour which began in Belgrade, Serbia on April 15.
The teaser shows the 31-singer belting out such hits as Love on Top, Halo, and Run The World (Girls). In the clip, her fans respond with excitement for the performer. The crowds have gotten so enthusiastic that some fans even began to grab at the Grammy winner as she performed during concert. Some reached for her clothes, hair and at times, it appeared as though they were hitting the songstress as one fan slapped her on the forehead. Not even being accompanied by her bodyguard Julius prevented the close encounters.
Beyoncé will wrap up her tour on August 3 in Brooklyn, NY. The trek has been to support her forthcoming fifth album release.
The glossy video release comes on the heels on some outlets complaining that Beyonce and her management banned professional photographers from the two week old tour. There was concern on the star's part about unflattering photos of her hitting the web. This sensitivity was created after her SuperBowl performance earlier this year became an internet meme.
"Beyoncé's publicist, the same one who emailed and asked websites to remove images she didn't like few months back, decided that this time they wouldn't allow photographers to shoot her shows," Noam Gali wrote.
"Instead, they would provide 3-5 pre-approved images their own photographer shot for the media to use after each show. They wanted to control what images the media had access to."
However, this plan of action could backfire since the media will simply rely on the grainy images provided to them by fans in attendance.
"They thought by not letting photographers in, they will have full control over the photos shown in the media," Gali wrote. "Huge mistake. Now not only is the mainstream media showing unflattering photos of her, they are showing bad-quality unflattering photos of her."
The professional release of the Mrs. Carter World Tour footage seems to be the star's attempt to remain in control of her image from all angles.
