Keshia Knight Pulliam Wedding 2016: Actress Breaks Down About Divorce, Says Ed Hartwell Cheated [VIDEO]
A pregnant Keshia Knight Pulliam has broken her silence after her now estranged husband Ed Hartwell secretly filed for divorce. And her moment ended in tears.
Entertainment Tonight caught up with Pulliam in her home in Atlanta Wednesday and she candidly spoke on Hartwell’s decision to file without her knowledge, his thought that he could not be the father of her unborn child, and whether one of them was unfaithful.
She first made it clear, “I have never cheated on him during my marriage. That’s not who I am.”
She added that she doesn’t have an “issue” with giving him a paternity test.
“This is his daughter.”
She then broke down and pointed out, “It’s not about me. She doesn’t deserve it. The biggest thing and my priority is she doesn’t deserve it.”
While she shut down rumors that she cheated, she said Hartwell told her that he was unfaithful “early” in their marriage.
“I was ready to leave,” she said and revealed she gave him divorce papers. But she said he begged for her to stay and that he wanted to fight their marriage.
“He said all of the right things. Once I was pregnant, I did decide to give him that one last chance.”
Pulliam and Hartwell married after four months of dating back in January in a secret ceremony. News of their split comes just a week after Pulliam announced she is pregnant. Pulliam said she was completely shocked.
“He left like it was any other day,” she said.
She added that he sent her a text message and wanted to talk; something that she did not think was out of the ordinary.
Then he dropped the bomb and told her “this isn’t working.”
“All I heard was ‘I filed for divorce and I’m coming to get my stuff.’ Let me be clear… I have never and I will never be anyone’s side chick.”
As for if she has feelings for Hartwell, she said, “I love who he pretended to be.”
She made it clear that she won’t be doing anymore interviews on the topic.
