Fans will see more than one person leaving Revenge when the ABC drama airs its season two finale on May 12.

At least one character will die in the two-hour final episode and Emily Thorne [Emily VanCamp] will be in a situation where she is forced to question whether or not she is doing the right thing by trying to avenge her father's death, according to Carter Matt.

ABC released an official synopsis for the back-to-back episodes recently and it said that viewers will see "high octane and life changing moments" taking place for residents of the Hamptons. In the first hour - titled Truth, Part One - "a series of dangerous events has been set into motion" and they all add up to "one catastrophic moment that will change everyone's life forever."

The network said the following about the second hour:

"[In] Truth, Part Two (10:00-11:00 p.m.), the devastation leads to a heartbreaking death that will send shockwaves down the shoreline and force Emily to take a hard look at the truth and the path of revenge she has embarked on."

Fans of the show will also see the departure of creator Mike Kelley, who is stepping down as showrunner of the series after "a difficult mutual decision" between him and the network.

"Helming this series has been the ride of a lifetime," Kelley said in a statement, according to E! "And my producing partner, Melissa Loy, and I will look back on our Revenge time with deep gratitude and respect for Emily [VanCamp] and Madeleine [Stowe] and the rest of the incredible cast, our heroic crew, the dedicated and imaginative producing and writing team, and the tireless post-production department."

Kelley added that he is excited to finish post-production for the season finale, which he said "I hope will stand among the best episodes of the series thus far."

The finale for Revenge season 2 airs on Sunday, May 12, starting at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. The next all new episode, titled Identity, airs on April 28. Watch a clip from the latest aired episode in the video below.
