They haven't been engaged at all despite the numerous reports claiming they were planning a wedding and expecting children together almost since the minute they confirmed their romance last November, but now, it appears that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are starting to consider making such a step.

According to People Magazine, those close to the couple epect them to eventually announce they are getting engaged, because the relationship has gotten very serious and it seems like a logical step for the pair to take.

"They are not engaged yet," a source reportedly close to Stefani told the magazine. "Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though."

For right now, it appears their busy schedules ( she's currently on tour for her album This Is What The Truth Feels Like and he begins his If I'm Honest tour in the fall) are what's keeping the move from happening, though the source insists that Stefani has never been happier than she is with Shelton.

"Gwen is very, very happy with Blake. She always acts giddy when she talks about Blake," the source said.

The source also says that he is equally as enamored with her, and is incredibly supportive of her career.

"Blake has been very excited for her," the source said. "He understands the pressure of a tour before it all kicks off, and he is Gwen's biggest fan."

And though some still scratch their heads at how the two got together despite being so different (they themselves have also admitted that on paper their relationship doesn't seem to make sense), the source says that they are much more alike than anyone could guess outside of the personas they seem to express to the outside world.

"Their relationship is almost too good to be true," the source said. "They are very much alike and really have a very special relationship. All the things that need to work out for two people to merge lives have worked out."
