Denver Broncos NFL Mock Draft 2013: Does Bjoem Werner Get The Nod Over 'Tank' Carradine? Details & VIDEO
The Denver Broncos had a very successful season in 2012-13, obtaining the #1 seed in the AFC. However, they ended up falling short of their championship aspirations when they were eliminated by eventual Super Bowl winners, the Baltimore Ravens.
In Thursday night's 2013 NFL Draft, the Broncos will look to add even more pieces to compliment an already busy offseason filled with notable acquisitions.
The employees over at Predominantly Orange recently flexed their GM chops by conducting a Mock NFL Draft for the National Football Post, in an attempt to predict the Broncos picks.
The No. 28 pick chosen in the mock draft was Florida State defensive end Bjoem Werner.
Upon the first pick being made, NFP draft expert, Russ Lande, gave some additional examination on the talented defender.
Lande sums up the pick my stating that "the Broncos no longer have a proven pass rusher on the roster. I think Werner signifies excellent value. (No. 5 on my big board) and has terrific upside at this juncture. He's more proven than Tank Carradine, which is why he gets the nod here."
Although Werner is a pick that many experts would surely take, Carradine is up there on many teams' wish lists as well. While the general consensus is that Werner is more NFL ready than Carradine, the latter has larger tackle numbers and a huge amount of potential.
The only downfall in choosing Carradine is that he's coming off an ACL tear that was repaired in November, and has significantly set him back.
The 2013 NFL Draft is set to begin on Thursday, April 25 at 8/7c on the ESPN network.
