'Sons of Anarchy' Season 6 Spoilers: 'Renaissance Man Playing Renegade Cop' Joins Cast? VIDEO
With FX's hit biker series Sons of Anarchy still has a considerable amount of time away from its season 6 premiere, the Internet rumor stream has seemingly dried up as of late.
However, SOA creator Kurt Sutter revealed new details via Twitter on April 23, vaguely announcing a deal he's made to attach a new actor to the series.
"my final tweet for the blogosphere. closed a deal with a great actor to play a new character ... a renaissance (sic) man playing a renegade cop," Sutter posted.
There's currently no speculation as to who it could be, other than the fact that it's a male. There should be more information coming out soon, given that there's just weeks remaining until the production team starts shooting again.
In other recent SOA news, it was announced that actress Drea de Matteo (Wendy) will be returning for multiple episodes. Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) ex-wife - who is also the mother to both Abel and Thomas - could put the SAMCRO leader's livelihood in major turmoil, according to TVLine,
In a successful ploy to maintain custody of the kids and halt Wendy from airing his dirty laundry to the Charming police, Jax injected his ex with heroin. The respective incident will reportedly serve as the primary motivator for her vengeance.
Carter Matt reported that although Wendy was at the losing end of the battle, it's still likely that she'll be looking to win a personal war against him.
Sons of Anarchy is set to premiere its sixth season on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Keep checking back for more of the latest details.
