'Saturday Night Live' Season Finale 2013: Ben Affleck Hosts, Kanye West Is Musical Guest (VIDEO)
NBC has announced the lineup for next month's hosts and music bands scheduled to perform as the season comes to a close.
Argo star Ben Affleck will host this year's season finale of Saturday Night Live.
The two-time Academy award winner is scheduled to appear on May 18 and rapper Kanye West will serve as the musical guest for the season 38 finale. It will be the fifth appearance on the hit weekly night show for both Affleck and West.
The Peacock Network also announced that former SNL alum Kristen Wiig will host the second-to-last episode one week before Affleck's appearance. Vampire Weekend will perform as the musical guest in the same show as Wiig's on May 11.
Wiig is one of a several former SNL cast members that will return to the show within a year after their exit. Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase and BillMurray have also returned not long after their departure from the hit NBC show.
Hangover star Zach Galifianakis is set to host on May 4 and the band, Of Monsters and Men, will perform that night.
Season 38 of Saturday Night Live offered a bevy of heavy hitters in the roster this year. Justin Timberlake, Seth MacFarlane, Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Lawrence, Justin Bieber and Adam Levine have all hosted and performed skits before the live studio audience in the Rockefeller Center building in New York City.
