Most tune into the Olympics to watch amazing examples of athleticism and feats of strength, but another big part of the Olympics is visible during the events-the love of some of the couples who are there competing.
Whether only one, or both are athletes competing in the games, the moment that show the couples together are some of the sweetest to see during the Games. Here are the five cutest couples from the Rio Games.
Will Claye and Queen Harrison
The Team USA track athletes (Claye won Silver in Triple Jump while Harrison, a hurdler, missed qualifying by finishing fourth during the trials) were among the many couples who got engaged during the games, after Claye raced to the stands after receiving his medal and getting down on one knee and proposing to Harrison, who was watching.
Marjorie Enya and Isadora Cerullo
The first proposal of the Games went to Brazilian Rugby player Cerullo and her girlfriend, a volunteer stadium manager at the event, who rushed the playing field to propose to her now future wife.
Qin Kai and He Zi
Bronze and Silver medalist divers, they became engaged at the games shortly after He won the silver medal for China over the weekend.
Jason Kenny and Laura Trott
The cyclists from Great Britain (who'se romance went public shortly after it started during 2012's London games when they sat behind David Beckham while watching a Beach Volleyball match), are not only planning a wedding, but are also on track to become the most successful Olympic couple of all time with a plan to win a 10th gold medal between them before the games in Rio close.
Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson
The pair, who became engaged last year and welcomed a son, Boomer, in May, are planning their wedding now that Phelps has officially retired. In a series of interviews, the two have revealed that they plan to marry by the end of the year.
