'Clash of Clans' Updates: No New Defense In September Update, End Of Spam Attacks Confirmed? [VIDEO]
With the upcoming Clash of Clans update slated for September, avid fans of the wildly popular mobile strategy game are speculating about which changes Supercell will implement in the title's mechanics.
It is no secret that the last major Clash of Clans update was largely a disappointment to fans. Thus, the upcoming September update might finally feature a number of changes that fans would actually appreciate.
Balancing Troops
If there's anything that players of the game have been pretty adamant about, it is the notion that nerfing troops are not a very good idea. Instead, fans have suggested that Supercell balances the troops instead, powering up those who are disadvantaged in order to level the playing field.
Considering how hands-on Supercell is when it comes to interacting with its fans, these changes might very well see the light of day come September. And yes, we're looking at you, Valkyries, Bowlers and Miners.
The End of Spam Attacks
If there's one thing that players have been complaining about, it is troop spamming. In fact, this was shown prominently in a recent exhibition match between CoC Redditors and YouTubers. During the match, most of the Redditors were overpowered by, yep, you guessed it, spam attacks. In fact, the match became a bloodbath, with the YouTubers overpowering their opponents with rather similar tactics.
With this issue emerging in a live stream between two prominent Clash of Clans groups, it is almost certain that Supercell would initiate some changes into the game which would prevent spam attacks from happening. After all, just like in emails, spam is never appreciated.
New Defense Release Date
Supercell has been pretty open about the upcoming introduction of a new defense system in the game. However, basing it off the developer's own staff, the update to the game's defenses would probably not be released in the September update. With regards to this new defense, a release date later this year, probably during the upcoming Clash-Con 2016 in November.
