Lindsay Lohan may be thinking of ways to postpone entering court-ordered rehab before her May 2 deadline.

The Scary Movie 5 actress has been instructed by a judge to enter a rehab facility by next week as part of a plea arrangement. However, those close to the star believe she may try to find a way to delay her punishment.

"It's possible that her defense attorney might try and say that she is 'enrolled' with her actual check-in date later than that day," a source told Radar Online. "She could say that she is scheduled to go to rehab at a future date and has everything arranged with a rehab place, but she might not physically be there on May 2."

Lohan was allowed to enter a rehab facility in New York but she may want to change the location.

"Lindsay is now saying that she wants to go to rehab in California and she's looking for a treatment center, and she thinks that this might help her buy some more time too," the source said.

It was reported that the star had not yet made up her mind about a treatment center. She has found it difficult to pick a place where she will spend the next three months of her life.

"It is too hard for her," a source told E! about the decision. "She doesn't know yet, and it's been really hard for her to decide. Time has caught up too soon, but nowhere has been decided."

Her top choice is Caribbean island facility Crossroads Antigua, according to the source. If she were to rehab outside the states, it would cost around 70,000. Additionally, she would need to be approved by the facility and the court. She will also have to make the decision before the court-ordered deadline.

Some who know Lohan said these last minute developments are routine. They believe she purposefully allows for situations to get out of hand.

"She's a drama queen. She feeds off this last-minute frenzy," one insider told Page Six. "She likes to wait until the 11th hour, or even the 12th hour."
