Zendaya Coleman Parents 2016: Star's Parents Split Amid Spider Man Role
Sad news for actress and singer Zendaya Coleman’s family this morning as news of parents’ split has made headlines.
TMZ broke the news Tuesday and revealed that Claire Stoermer filed the documents against Kazembe Ajamu Coleman just a couple of days ago. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause.
The tied the knot with Coleman was 12 and have been married for eight years. She is the only child between them. While they won’t have to have a child support battle considering Zendaya is 19, word is her earnings could be an issue. Her father is her manager and since he made money during the marriage, he could be under the community property agreement which would require him to pay his now estranged wife. Still, it might be a clean break because she has not asked for spousal support and she does not want him to be awarded any either.
Zendaya has stayed quiet about the split and rather put a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Carefree…free of care,” over the weekend.
Zendaya is set to bring in even more earnings considering she just landed the role as Spiderman’s love interest, Mary Jane Watson.
Stan Lee, who created the character during Spider Man’s comic book days, said he is confident Zendaya will “be absolutely wonderful.”
Guardians of Galaxy director James Gunn also made it clear he is Team Zendaya after she got lots of criticism.
“Perhaps we can be open to the idea that, although someone may not initially match how we personally conceive a character, we can be—and often are—happily surprised. The colour of their skin doesn’t matter, their religion doesn’t matter. All that matters is that this sit he right person for the role.”
