Cee Lo Green 'The Voice' Ex-Judge Will Return To The Show As Guest Performer
Cell Lo Green will be returning to The Voice, but not as a judge.
According to a New York Daily News report, he will be performing live with pop singer Rod Stewart in May on the singing competition.
Green, who recently performed in Las Vegas, is scheduled to perform his new song Only You from his album Girl Power. The album will be released this year. Stewart, meanwhile, will perform from his upcoming album Time, to be released May 7. This will be Stewart’s first release of his own material in more than ten years, according to the report.
The two will perform in the May 8 episode of The Voice, and Lady Antebellum, a country-pop group who won a Grammy, will perform Goodbye Town, and promote their album Golden on the May 14 episode, Billboard reported.
Also performing during the May 14 episode of the show will be pop singer Robin Thicke, singer and producer Pharrell Williams and rapper TI, who will perform Thicke’s latest single Blurred Lines. According to the Daily News, The Voice has about 14 million viewers during a two-week show running.
The fourth season of the competition had Shakira and Usher replace Green and Christina Aguilera. It will conclude in June, when one contestant will be named winner and receive a recording contract.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
