'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 5, Teresa Giudice Caught 'Being Fake' By Co-Stars, Said Sources
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice played nice with her castmates during the taping for season 5 for the show's producers and her co-stars are "furious," according to reports.
Giudice's castmates-Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo, Melissa Gorga, and Kathy Wakil - learned she wasn't genuine after they finished taping their individual on-camera confessionals for the show's segments.
"Everyone was nice to each other's faces all season," an insider from the Real Housewives of New Jersey told Radar Online. "But once they all watched the footage to tape their testimonials they saw Teresa's true colors."
"The way Teresa acted when they weren't around they wasn't shocking. She was fake and she seemed to be stabbing them in the back," the source said, adding, "Teresa tries so hard to be nice to everyone to their face, but she always resorts to viciousness and this season was no different."
Manzo was to describe in an interview about her relationship with Giudice during season 5 tapings. Last season the two had several heated arguments.
"I would probably equate it to ice-skating on a lake where half of it, the sun is shining hard on the lake and the other half is solid ice. You don't know what you're skating on," Manzo told UsWeekly of where she stands with Giudice. "I wouldn't call it thin ice. I would call it unpredictable. That's a good word. Unpredictable," she added.
A source told Reality Tea that "Jersey is phony as ever!"
"The women are all acting their way through this season," the source told the website. "Bravo has forced them to film together and 'get along'. The fans were sick of the fighting so they were all under orders to get along at least for the cameras."
The source revealed that Manzo is "jumping on the Teresa bandwagon to gain popularity back."
As for Giuidice's renewed friendship with frenemy Jacqueline Laurita for season 5, that was also for ratings.
"Jacqueline and Teresa have not mended any fences. Jacqueline has said Teresa tries to play nice with everyone, so they are just all following her act," added the insider.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 5 premieres June 2 at 8/7c on Bravo.
