Ireland Baldwin, the teenage daughter of movie stars Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger has responded to all her haters and critics that said mean things about her weight.

The 6-foot-2 model said she has received hateful messages from online users that indicated that she is too fat to model. The 17-year-old blonde beauty vented in an open letter on her Tumblr page Monday night and demanded that people stop bashing her.

"What I don't fully understand, is what is the good in commenting on a photo of a 17 year old girl and calling her fat, ugly, etc?," the 6-foot-2 model asked in her open letter. "Is that helping you in some way? I'm confused. ... It's bad energy being put out there!" she said.

This month, Ireland appeared in a bikini photo shoot on the Hudson River for the New York Post after signing with modeling agency IMG.

"Of course I get those comments about how I am too fat to model, how I am not model material, how I am an unattractive girl, how I am too tall, etc. I understand," Ireland said.

One critic commented "you have a 27 inch waist and you were signed to IMG? I don't mean for this message to be rude but I always believed you needed to have a 25 inch waist or smaller (I want to model and i'm trying to lose weight)."

In her letter, she also addressed the issues and pressures she dealt with as a child of her famous parents. She said she is constantly being compared to her mother and wants to have her own identity.

"I AM NOT MY PARENTS. My mom is one of the most beautiful woman (sic) in the world. She is 5'9, I am 6'2. She is petite and fragile, and I am fit and .... more to love tehe. (sic) I have a booty, she has a thigh gap," she wrote.

She also addressed the infamous voice mail her father left her five years ago calling her a "thoughtless little pig." Ireland said that her father has apologized and moved on.

"He recognized that he needed to change, so he made changes. He is now healthy, happily married with a baby on the way. He moved on, so why can't you?" she said.
