Mariah Carey Nick Cannon Renew Vows [VIDEO]; Shuts Down Disneyland for 5th Wedding Anniversary
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewed their vows in Disneyland in honor of their 5th wedding anniversary.
April 30 marked five years of marriage between the Hero singer and her husband. Every year since the pair got married in 2008 on Windermere Island in the Bahamas, they have renewed their vows. This year was no different. The couple celebrated by shutting down a Disneyland theme park in Anaheim. The theme was, "Do you believe in fairy tales?" Reportedly, 150 guests attended the over the top display which featured a firework display and entertainment until midnight.
"Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewing their vows in front of the Castle tonight," read a tweet from MouseWait . The company also posted a picture showing preparations for a party under way in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Carey also let the cat out of the bag. She excitedly tweeted the love she has for her spouse.
"Happy 5th(!!!!!!) Anniversary to the Best Husband in All The Land & 2 years ago pon de delivery...," Carey tweeted earlier today. She also showed off a beautiful chandelier that Cannon bought for their special day, writing, "Happy Anniversary from my Husband to me!!!!#4/30 #Grateful!!!"
It was also the second birthday's of their twins Morroccan and Monroe. Carey proudly showed off some videos she uploaded to Vine. The kids were all dressed up for a party. They were to be entertained in a banquet in the recently opened Enchanted Forest section of the theme park.
Nancy O'Dell from ET reported that the kids later sat in the front row to witness the vow renewals.
Carey posted a picture of herself being groomed for her special day. She was getting her hair and makeup done. She also gave updates on Twitter.
"On our way to renew our vows. I love you @NickCannon shut down Disneyland KKLB," she wrote.
Carey's longtime friend, rapper DaBrat, was among the guests. She shared her excitement on Twitter.
"Bout to hop in this heated pool! Then off to ROC and ROE's Bday shindig!!!!! #RESORT FLOW," she wrote . She also declared, "OMG! DISNEYLAND!! I'm soooo BLESSED! CONGRATS to MC and NC!"
When it came to say their vows, Carey and her young daughter were picked up in a horse-drawn Crystal Carriage that took them to Main Street. They were greeted by Nick and Roc, who were wearing Prince Charming outfits. As a family, they walked down the aisle to Sleeping Beauty Castle. It served as the backdrop for the ceremony.
