Lil Wayne Seizure, Hospitalized Again After Another Attack; in Hospital for One Night & Then Released [VIDEO]
Lil Wayne was reportedly hospitalized Tuesday evening after he suffered another seizure, TMZ reported.
Sources said his bodyguards took him to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles following a single seizure. He stayed overnight in the hospital for treatment.
Lil Wayne was near death in March after suffering another seizure. It was alleged that he suffered six seizures after going on a drug binge, according to the website. The 30- year old spent six days in ICU and after his first hospitalization, he thanked fans for their support.
"I'm more than good, but thank you for real," he said. "Thanks ... for all your prayers and all that, I'm more than good. I swear."
During an interview with Power 106 FM in Los Angeles on March 28, he said he suffers from epilepsy. Lil Wayne added that it is a condition he has battled from a young age.
"The bad news is I'm an epileptic, I'm prone to seizures," he said. "Like, this isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them."
The multiplatinum-selling artist said his March hospitalization was due to the frequency of his seizures. He told the radio station they occurred back-to-back.
"This time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent," he said.
Lil Wayne acknowledged that he came close to dying and revealed how his family and friends cope with his illness, saying that even his entourage knows what to do during his attacks.
"They already know how to handle it," he said. "Certain times I don't even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because, like I said, it was three in a row, and I've never had three back to back like that."
