2016 is so far a good year for gaming. Here are the top 5 gaming laptops gamers should look at and maybe add to their Christmas list.

Alienware 17

The Alienware 17 is really one of those gaming laptops that has become a household name over the years. Constantly applauded for its powerful, balanced specs, the Alienware 17 is, and will most likely be the world's most recognizable gaming notebook.

The only thing that the Alienware really lacks is its budget-friendliness. Even last year's model remains to be outrageously priced, but as Alienware fans say, the device is always well worth the investment.

Acer Predator 21 X

This monster of a gaming laptop might be a still-to-be-released halo product, but it is arguably one of the most unique and novel devices that have been unveiled in the year so far. Weighing 6 kilograms with possibly the world's largest power brick, it is nowhere near portable. What it lacks in portability, it more than makes up for in power.

With two (yes, two) Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 cards, a 21-inch curved screen and a full mechanical keyboard, the Acer Predator 21 X might very well be the gaming laptop that would be able to provide the purest form of PC gaming on a (somewhat) portable package.

Razer Blade

One thing that the Razer Blade really excels in is design. The Razer Blade is almost as thin as conventional ultrabooks, but don't be fooled. Within its extremely sleek exterior lies a powerhouse gaming device. What's more, the Razer Blade is in for long playing sessions, able to last a very impressive 6 hours on video tests and 3.5 hours on video gaming.

One thing that the Razer Blade lacks, however, is its graphics card. This year's iteration of the machine is still equipped with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M. This could be easily mended by changing the graphics card, however, since the Razer Blade is also fully compatible with any desktop-class graphics card.

Asus ROG G752

Arguably the best ROG laptop that Asus has come up with the G752 features a very aggressive design that is definitely eye-catching. With brushed aluminum panels and glowing red segments, this gaming laptop is as beautiful as it is powerful. Under the hood, it runs top-end specs and performance.

The only thing missing from this device is a full 4K screen. Then again, this device's full HD 1920 x 1080 display is more than good enough for serious gamers.

MSI GT80 Titan

Just like the Predator 21 X, the word for the MSI GT80 Titan is ridiculous. Weighing almost 10 pounds and measuring almost 2 inches thick, the Titan is nowhere near portable. The weight and size of the laptop are far more than justifiable since its ridiculously powerful hardware is capable of running the most graphically-intensive games in the market without any problem at all.

A very notable flaw of this laptop, though, is its price. For all its insane power, the high-end Titans top out at more than $4,000.
