Chris Brown Rihanna Relationship Status: Couple Suffering from Long Distance Keeping them Apart?
Chris Brown and Rihanna's relationship is struggling because of long distance, as both are separated by work commitments.
A source close to the couple said they are having problems because of too much time apart. Rihanna is on her Diamonds World Tour and Brown is promoting his upcoming album, X. It has become difficult for them to spend time together and when they have issues, they reportedly share their relationship woes with the world via the Internet.
"It's up and down and sometimes the s**t is even sideways," the source told Hollywood Life. "Every time some s**t pop off between them, they blast that s**t on social media, and they shouldn't," the source said. "But when they're far apart, that's how they act out toward each other when one of them doesn't get their way. It's crazy as f**k, but it's how they get down."
Brown and Rihanna have been experiencing problems in their relationship as of late. She stirred controversy when she began "following" her ex-boyfriend, Drake, on Instagram on April 27, not long after the Take Care rapper went on the record about his feud with Brown.
"Don't ask me sh-- about that man when I come up there and leave that man alone. Stop preying on his insecurities," Drake told hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson on his Keep It Thoro show on April 12.
Drake said Brown was mad that he treated the Stay singer better.
"His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more popping than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap," Drake said. "I did what a real n---a would do and treated her with respect."
Rihanna was also spotted kissing another man at a night club on April 28. In response, Brown stopped following Rihanna on Twitter. On April 30, Brown released the song, I Can't Win, and rumors circulated that its lyrics suggest he is blaming Rihanna for the conflict between them.
"Tell me what did I do/To make you hate me so much/Why you angry all the time?/Why don't you wanna ride for me?/Girl, we used to make love," Brown sings. "When you called, I would follow/Now the only thing you love is a bottle/The only thing you got left is a shadow/Don't let this sh*t come between us?"
