Anna Nicole Smith Daughter Dannielynn Birkhead & Father Larry Attend Kentucky Derby [PHOTOS]
Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn Birkhead attended the Kentucky Derby in Louisville on May 4 and the 6-year-old walked the red carpet with her dad Larry Birkhead.
Dannielynn and her father were both dressed in characters from the classic movie Jolly Holiday and was photographed at the Grey Goose lounge at Church Hills. The young girl channelled Mary Poppins and Larry dressed as Bert for the event. Dannielynn wore a white and red dress, paired with a matching umbrella and shoes. See photos here.
The event also hosted celebrities such as Miranda Lambert, Lauren Conrad and Stephen Amell.
Dannielynn is following in the path of her late mother by pursuing a modeling career at a young age. She became the face of Guess Kids last year.
"Dannielynn has always looked up to her mom's image," Larry told Good Morning America in 2012. "I think this is kind of Dannielynn's way of paying tribute to her mom in her own special way. To see her mom's picture next to hers as a Guess girl and say, 'Hey, I was a Guess Kids girl, my mommy was a Guess girl,' that might be her only connection with her mom."
The blonde-haired little girl is a "splitting image" of her mother, Larry added.
Dannielynn was only 5 months old with Anna Nicole died.The former Playboy model was found unconscious in hotel room in Florida on February 2007. She was 39 years old.
Before Anna Nicole's death, she struggled with prescription drug addictions. Her official cause of death was determined to be an accidental overdose of nine prescription drugs including Valium and Atavan, The Daily Mail reported.
