Chris Brown & Rihanna Break Up Again, He Confirms in Interview [PHOTOS]
Chris Brown confirmed on his birthday that his relationship with Rihanna is over again.
Brown gave an interview to 2Day's The Kyle and Jackie Show on May 5, the day the singer turned 24. He admitted to the Australian radio show that he and the Diamonds singer are no longer a couple, after being asked if his birthday celebrations would include Rihanna.
"I've actually got three birthday parties scheduled, I got one in L.A., one in Vegas and one in New York so we can gon' have fun, and I'm just trying to have, you know, the best time with my fans and all the people in the club," Brown said.
Brown then let it be known that Rihanna would not be at any of the parties.
"Imma do it solo," he said. "I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road. It's always gonna be love. I'm a grown man, just gotta fast forward."
Brown said that he would always love Rihanna but that he was not interested in making her his wife at this time.
"I'm always gonna love that person. I can't be focused on wife-ing someone that young," he said. "I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be."
The split between the two singers comes months after the pair publicly reunited in 2013. In 2009, they broke up after Brown assaulted Rihanna before the Grammy's. He pleaded guilty and was placed on probation. Despite the assault, Rihanna was able to forgive the man who abused her. She even appeared at a court hearing with him on Feb. 6. She also spoke to Rolling Stone in February 2013 about their rekindled romance.
"I decided it was more important for me to be happy," Rihanna told the magazine.
Rihanna did not care how the public received her reconciliation with Brown.
"I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that," she said. "Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it."
