Kristen Stewart Robert Pattinson Together at MET Gala 2013? Will Likely Walk Red Carpet After Spotted In NYC
Kristen Stewart is confirmed to attend the 2013 MET Gala in New York City on May 6 and it is likely her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, will join her on the red carpet at the star-studded event.
Pattinson was spotted in New York City several times last week. The British hunk was seen attending a Daughter concert in Manhattan's Bowery Ballroom on April 30 with pal Katy Perry.
An onlooker told Hollywood Life that "he was dashing. You know? What you'd expect. Looked like a Brooklyn hipster."
Several fans tweeted the spotting during the live show.
"Robert Pattinson is also at this Daughter show." tweeted @ericsundy.
"ROBERT PATTINSON JUST WALKED BY ME AT THIS CONCERT. HOLY SH*T. THIS IS NOT REAL LIFE," said @michkaalil, followed by "Can we just talk about how I'm standing right NEXT to effing Robert Pattinson now OMFG."
"KATY PERRY AND ROBERT PATTINSON ARE HERE AND IDK HOW TO HANDLE MYSELF," tweeted @rubyfreebird.
Pattinson was spotted several days later having dinner with a "mystery blonde" at Gemma restaurant in Manhattan's East Village area on May 3.
A friend of the couple said the On The Road actress has already asked him to be her date to the annual event. Stewart wants to attend the event but she doesn't want to attend alone, so she asked her boyfriend to join her.
"Kristen loves fashion and loves Rob. She would love for Rob to attend the MET gala with her in New York in May," a source said. "She knows Rob isn't crazy about these types of events and having to dress up, but she has asked him."
The source didn't reveal if Pattinson will be able to join her on the red carpet because of his professional commitments, but the Big Apple is one of their favorite places to visit so he is considering it. The pair "love hanging out" in New York City together and the MET Gala event could turn into "a romantic, fun getaway for them."
"Kristen wants to spend as much quality time as she can with Rob before he starts filming his next project," the source added.
