Kate Middleton Baby Bump Will Receive Royal Lullaby from British Composer Paul Mealor & Hayley Westenra [VIDEO]
Artist Hayley Westenra will record the song Sleep On as part of an album of lullabies she will be putting together with British Composer Paul Mealor for the royal couple's baby.
Mealor, who wrote the song, also wrote the music for Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding.
"After writing music for the royal wedding, it seemed natural to provide the musical accompaniment for the next stage of the royal couple's journey together," Mealor said in a statement, according to the Daily Mail.
The composter said he wrote the song for the couple because he felt this would provide a smooth transition for the next stage of their lives.
"Paul and I got together to work on a song called Sleep On in honor of William and Kate's new arrival as it's such a joyous occasion which we can all celebrate," said Westenra.
One song written by Mealor, called Ubi Caritas, was one of favorite songs played in 2011 at the royal couple's wedding.
Sleep On will reportedly be included in Westenra's new album of lullabies, which Mealor and Westenra said they will send to the duke and duchess.
Westenra's new album, called Hushabye, is intended to provide calming tunes for parents and children, such as Hushabye Mountain and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It will be released in June.
