'50 Shades of Grey' Movie Cast: Channing Tatum TRAILER & PHOTOS Put Him Back In The Christian Grey Running? Details
Magic Mike standout Channing Tatum recently resurfaced as a fan favorite for the role of S & M-crazed CEO Christian Grey in the highly anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James' 50 Shades of Grey.
While the 32-year-old isn't anything new to the constant chatter surrounding the saucy role, recent buzz over People's 2012 Sexiest Man Alive has resulted in him going viral.
While the A-list actor has proven that he can hold his own in terms of his eye candy appeal to the ladies, Tatum will also be showcasing his gruff side in his upcoming movie White House Down, which debuts on Nov. 5.
The 32-year-old will play Capitol Policeman John Cale alongside Jamie Foxx, who plays the U.S. President. The two join forces to fight off a group of domestic terrorists that have taken over the White House from inside its walls.
In an interview conducted with Glamour Magazine last summer, Tatum actually stated that he wouldn't be against the Grey role.
However, he did go on to say that his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, undoubtedly would.
"Yes. I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She's read the books so I don't think she's be impressed if she couldn't be Ana!" Tatum explained.
Although the producers have yet to officially attach a director to the franchise, 50 Shades of Grey is slated for its big screen release in summer of 2014. The film will be shot in London.
