AMA 2016 Noms: Drake, Rihanna, Adele, Justin Bieber, Beyonce & More Among Top Nominees [LIST]
The American Music Awards (AMAs) announced their 2016 nominations, with Drake, Rihanna, Adele and Justin Bieber leading in nom totals.
It's bound to be a highly competitive year at the AMAs on Nov. 20, as seen by Monday's nomination list. Drake leads with a whopping 13 nominations, the most in AMAs history for a single year, while girlfriend Rihanna has the second most with seven. Artists nominated for Artist of the Year are some of the absolute hottest names in the industry, including Drake, Rihanna, Adele, Bieber, Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd.
Then there's the New Artist of the Year category, which has gone to such acclaimed artists as Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer and Sam Hunt in past years. This year, nominees include Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, DNCE, Shawn Mendes and ZAYN.
