Creepy clowns have been reported as being spotted in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, tennesssee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wes Virginia and Wisconsin so far--but 2016 isn't the first time these creepy clowns have been spotted around the U.S.

In fact, this fascination with creepy clowns, and dressing like them and acting menacing and threatening, is something that acrtually goes back a long time.
