In the first live elimination of season 4 of The Voice, the show's - judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher - had to decide which singer from each of their teams will be sent home.

Season 4 newcomer Shakira was so unsure of who to let go that she put the two names in the Bottom Two in a hat. After the Colombian beauty learned that Sasha Allen earned the most votes and Kris Thomas came in second, she was left to choose between Karina Iglesias and Garrett Gardner.

The decision was so tough for the Hips Don't Lie singer that she placed their names on two pieces of paper, threw the papers in a hat and drew the loser's name out of it. To everyone's surprise, she sent Iglesias home.

Shakira's shocking elimination was after Shelton learned that his singer, Holly Tucker, came in at No. 1 by earning the most votes by viewers, Danielle Bradbury came in second place.

Shelton ended saving The Swon Brothers when they were up against Justin Rivers in the Bottom Two.

Usher learned that Michelle Chamuel, who got the most viewers voter, and Vedo came in second on team Usher. He was surprised to learn that Josiah Hawley and Cathia landed with the least amount of votes, and decided to keep Hawley on team Usher.

Levine learned that Judith Hill was No. 1 and Amber Carrington came in second, which left him deciding between Sarah Simmons and Caroline Glaser. Levine took so long to choose which of the two talented singers would be sent home that the show's host Carson Daly had to rush Levine, telling him, "you have to save one, we're off the air in less than a minute."

Levine finally blurted out, "Sarah! Save Sarah!"

Team Blake: The Swon Brothers, Holly Tucker, Danielle Bradbery

Team Shakira: Garrett Gardner, Kris Thomas, Sasha Allen

Team Usher: Josiah Hawley, VEDO, Michelle Chamuel
