In her recent interview with InStyle, in which she graced the magazine's June 2013 issue, Selena Gomez admitted that a song off of her upcoming album was in fact inspired by her breakup with Justin Bieber.

The couple parted ways in late 2012 but have since rekindled their relationship, with proof lying in a shirtless picture Bieber posed on Instagram of him with Gomez and then another of get getting cozy in a close-up image.

Gomez, 20, spoke to InStyle before her most recent reunion with Bieber but the conversation still turned toward the 19-year-old. She talked about her upcoming album, Stars Dance, and what fans can expect to hear. The track, Love Will Remember, chronicles the end of a relationship and the Spring Breakers star confirmed that she did in fact write it about her rumored on-again boyfriend.

"That's the most personal track on the record, for sure. I think it's a sweet way of releasing it. It's not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting," she said, before adding, "I'm sure he'll love it too."

Gomez also talked about her "crazy and very intense" relationship with Bieber.

Gomez' Stars Dance world tour kicks off in Canada in August 2013. She said Britney Spears is the inspiration behind her first solo world tour and her recent MTV Movie Awards performance, adding that the pop singer's I'm A Slave 4 U stage act at the 2001 Video Music Awards is her favorite performance of all time.

""I think she's one of the best that made that transition," Gomez said about Spears. "That video [Slave 4 U] is so hot, it's incredible, so I love that, and I definitely wanted to do that with my transition."

The June 2013 issue of InStyle hits newsstands May 10.
