John Mayer Katy Perry Split: She Leans on Rihanna Over Two Broken Hearts Following Chris Brown Breakup [PHOTOS]
Following their recent breakups, good friends Rihanna and Katy Perry have turned to each other to help get over their heartbreaks.
The two singers have been friends for some time now and as Rihanna travels the world for her Diamonds tour, she is also partying with Perry following her breakup with Chris Brown.
"Throw it [up], throw it [up], that's how we [ball] out," Katy tweeted before Rihanna's May 7 performance at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn. The lyrics to Rihanna's Pour It Up were followed by the hashtag, "immacomintogetyouRiRi."
An eyewitness told Us Weekly the two friends "hung out like old times and were catching up," perhaps as a way to distract themselves from their recently failed relationships.
Perry and Mayer broke up in early April and Brown confirmed his split from Rihanna in a May 5 radio interview, adding that he was also not interested in making her his wife at this time.
Perry is rumored to have found a new beau already, as she was linked to Twilight star Robert Pattinson. They were seen with friends at Spot lounge following a Daughter concert on May 1 in New York City. The duo was seen together two days later on May 3 eating out and that same night they reportedly shared drinks at a Manhattan bar.
"Katy was Kristen's friend first, but she gets on with Rob brilliantly," a source told Heat magazine. "It's clear to everyone that Rob's got a bit of a crush on Katy and she totally plays up to it."
Rihanna did not attend the MET Gala on Monday but Perry did, along with two men on her arms. She walked the red carpet with the designers who created her dress for the event, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
