Candice Glover & Kree Harrison, 'American Idol' 2013 Top 2: Angie Miller Eliminated, Alicia Keys Performed (VIDEO)
Thursday’s episode of American Idol’s Top 3 Results show offered a shocking elimination of one of the season’s favorites- Angie Miller.
Miller sadly learned that she received the least amount of votes after she landed in th Bottom Two with Kree Harrison. Fellow contestant Candace Glover won the most amount of votes from the show’s fans including viewers at home.
The trio opened the show by singing Selena Gomez’ Who Says together with the LACHA Jazz Choir. Season 10 contestant Lauren Alaina followed up with a performance of her new single, Barefoot and Buckwild.
The hit singing competition show also premiered a sneak peek of Idol judge Mariah Carey's new music video for her new single, Beautiful featuring Miguel.
Alicia Keys performed a new single, Tears Always Win, live on the show as she played a piano.
Miller’s elimination was the follow-up to Wednesday’s Top 3 live show. Glover, Harrison and Miller performed three songs each following a visit to their hometown over the weekend. One song was picked by Jimmy Lovine, one song was selected a judges and the third was chosen by the show's production team.
When Glover performed the classic song Somewhere, her performance was so well-received she earned the night's only standing ovation and was told she had one of the "greatest vocals in Idol history."
Harrison sang Perfect by Pink, which was chosen by Lovine, but it left the judges not impressed.
"You sang it good but it didn't have a lot pizzazz for me," Jackson said.
She also sang Racal Flatt's Here Comes Goodbye and The Band Perry's Better Dig Two.
Miller performed Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, which was chosen by Lovine. The judges picked Pink's Try and Emelie Sande's Maybe was selected by the production team.
