MetLife Mascot: Insurance Company Fires Snoopy After 30 Years & The Internet Is Pissed [VIDEO]
MetLife has enraged many with their recent decision, which led to the company parting ways with Snoopy as their mascot while they transform their brand and phase out their previous image which relied heavily on the Peanuts character.
The company made the announcement on their site, explaining that they were rebranding themselves, which led to the change in mascot and logo.
"To become the company ur customers want, we're changing the way we do business: simplifying our products, developing sales and servicing technology that's straightforward and helpful, and creating a better customer experience in all of our interactions with us. Our new look and lgo reflect the modern, innovative company we're becoming," they said in a statement.
However, the decision has not been met well on social media, with many expressing outrage over the decision by quoting the Peanuts comic Snoopy originated from before being adopted by the company:
