Salma Hayek revealed Donald Trump’s "Too Short" story against her came after she refused to go out with him
Salma Hayek revealed some nasty news about the presidential candidate Donald Trump saying he planted a tabloid story criticizing her height after she refused to go on a date with him.
The Latina actress made the statement when she appeared in a radio show, "El Show del Mandril" on Friday as she also aired her opinion believing those women who came out in the open and claimed Trump sexually assaulted them in the past.
"When I met that man, I had a boyfriend, and he tried to become his friend to get my home telephone number. He got my number and he would call me to invite me out. When I told him I wouldn't go out with him even if I didn't have a boyfriend, he called - well, he wouldn't say he called, but someone told the National Enquirer," the actress told the hosts of the show.
A caller reportedly made a call to the National Enquirer twisting the story saying it was Trump who would not go out with the Hollywood celebrity due to her height.
"It said that he wouldn't go out with me because I was too short," the Tale of Tales actress announced.
After the telephone call, the entrepreneur-TV mogul is said to have more attempts of winning her making several calls and still convincing her to go out with him.
Despite the allegations, Trump denied planting the story against the actress saying he was 'shocked' about it.
Tax records showed that Trump invested on that date with Salma Hayek and had actually spent $120,000 from his foundation to organize a luxury trip and dinner date with the celebrity. The information was revealed during a charity auction in 2008.
Salma Hayek, who is married to French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault, has been supporting Hilary Clinton in the campaign as she sympathized Latino migrants in the US who have been one of the targets in Trump's platforms.
In a previous interview, Salma Hayek joked saying that the presidential candidate can borrow her US History for Dummies. She also took a dig at Trump when he confused the historical 9/11 attack with 7-eleven.
