SEALs Movie 'Act of Valor' Earns $9M in Friday Debut
The action film Act of Valor topped yesterday's domestic box office with $9.1 million, leaving Tyler Perry's romantic comedy Good Deeds a distant second with $5.4 million.
Act of Valor, which stars a real-life Navy SEAL squad as they rescue a fictionalized kidnapped CIA agent, is expected to earn from $20 million to $25 million for the weekend.
In the number three spot, Wanderlust, a hippie comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston, grossed $2.2 million, while Gone, a thriller starring Amanda Seyfried, came in fourth at $1.7 million.

1. Act of Valor - $20.5 million
2. Good Deeds - $19.2 million
3. Wanderlust - $10.2 million
4. Gone - $6.1 million
