'Dancing With The Stars' 2013 Season 16 Week 9 Semi-Finals SPOILERS: Stars Reveal What They Will Dance (VIDEOS)
The week 9 semi-finals of Dancing With the Stars's season 16 will air on Monday.
The show's contestants revealed in interviews held backstage with On The Red Carpet what dance routines their fans can expect to see them perform during the live show on May 13.
Zendaya Coleman - who earned the first perfect score of season 16 during week 8 - and her dance parter, Val Chmerkovskiy, will dance her favorite, hip-hop, and a quickstep. In their interview Chmerkovskiy admitted he cannot dance hip-hop and added that he wasn't happy about the new idea that four couples wil compete in the finals instead of 3, in like seasons past.
Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough will dance the flamenco and Argentine tango. Hough told OTRC that he and his dance partner will do a lot of stomping.
"Basically it's a story about keeping the devil down, so they stomp to keep him down," he said.
Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson will perform a Charleston and samba routine.
"I'm making this Samba really sexy and hot," Johnson said, "and then the Charleston's going to be really fun and animated like a cartoon character."
Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas: Afro-jazz, rumba.
"It's like a tribal kind of Jazz fused with some funk. It's going to be awesome," Ballas said. "Lots of shaking and jumping and acting like a monkey jumping around." He said their music has loud, tribal drums and screaming monkey sounds. "It's going to be really cool!"
Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff: Lindy hop, unknown.
Sean Lowe was eliminated during week 8's elimination, which aired on May 7. He landed in the bottom with Jones, a Super Bowl 2013 winner.
Lowe, 29, earned 42 out of 60 points for two routines with his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd last Monday. The pair earned 21 out of 30 for each of their dance numbers. One routine was a "regular" dance and the second was with a third partner for a trio.
The night before, Coleman earned the season's first perfect score - a 30 out of 3- for her trio dance number with two dance partners, hmerkovskiy and Gleb Savchenko.
Dancing With the Stars semi-finals airs on Monday, May 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
