Jodi Arias has been transferred back to Arizona's Estrella Jail, her mother, Nancy Arias, told HLNTV.

Jodi was at first admitted to Lower Buckeye Jail's psychiatric ward following her suicide watch. She was sent to the psych ward shortly after she was found guilty for the first degree murder of her on-and-off lover Travis Alexander on May 8.

Enstars reported that on the day the Arizona jury found her guilty of murder in the first-degree for Alexander's death, Arias spoke exclusively with the news reporter shortly and said she would "rather die than spend the rest of her life" in prison. Following her comments, she was immediately placed on suicide watch. Arias was placed under constant supervision by authorities.

"The worst outcome for me would be natural life, I would rather die sooner rather than later," Arias told Fox 10 News on May 8. "I said years ago I'd rather get death than life and that still is true today. I believe death is the ultimate freedom, so I'd rather just have my freedom as soon as I can get it," she added.

When asked what her immediate reaction was after the unanimous decision made by the jury was announced in court, Arias said she just "went blank."

"I didn't expect the premeditation," she added. "I could see maybe the felony murder because of how the law is written, but the whole time I was fairly confident that I wouldn't get premeditation."

The next phase of Arias' murder trial following her conviction- the aggregation phase - will begin at 1 p.m. EST on May 15.

Prosecutor Juan Martinez will present more evidence to the jury to prove Alexander's crime was committed in a cruel manner. "Cruel manner" is when a victim suffered physical and or mental pain, according to Arizona law. Martinez will also try to prove that Arias knew Alexander would suffer.

If the jury decides that Arias is guilty for committing the crime in a "cruel manner," she will likely face the death penalty and become the fourth woman in Arizona's history to die by lethal injection. Arias and her defense team, family members and or friends will plead for leniency and ask that she does not die. If this happens, the jury will have to make a decision for the third time - if she should be sentenced to life in prison or death.
